The ax came down

on Dad today. He's known for about 18 months that his company plans to force-retire him at the end of this year, and what with some financial crap that went down over xmas he sort of suspected that date to get moved up. He got e-mail notification today that his last day will be July 31. Work for a company for 32 years straight and that's all you get - one damn e-mail.
